It seems like just this morning, DH said to me... "Don't blink. Before you know it this weekend will be over and we'll be driving home, rather than driving to the river."
We have just returned from our annual camping trip to the Rogue River. 2008 marks the 13th year of our trip to Indian Mary. We had an absolutely fabulous time! Everything went smoothly and a few of us even enjoyed a few new experiences...
Buddy roasted his first marshmellow on his own! He made several attempts, dropping 3 into the fire before he achieved success with this one.
Sweetie floated down the river from Hogs Creek - enjoying the adrenaline rush of white water rafting for the first time. After her first trip down with daddy, she wanted to go again and again. She actually got to go more frequently than I did!
I went running just once ... Friday morning (an easy 5 miles). Saturday I intended to run around 9 miles, but when I woke, my left hip hurt something terrible and my walking stride was altered. I was uncomfortable all day despite having taking a few ibuprofen. I opted not to push it but rather to take it easy. Sunday we drove home and cleaned up the gear.
Today was the day for my long run but again, I opted to play it safe and took it easy. I did just 7 miles at 1:04... we'll see how my hip feels tomorrow. If it still aches, I'm going to call the doctor again.
Sounds like you guys had a great weekend! Awesome! Take care of that hip of yours!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun weekend! Hope your hip settles down.

ReplyDeleteLovely pics! Hopefully it is just 'canoe-hip' you're suffering from. Isn't camping fun - and of course doubly so for the kiddos.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun trip!
