It's Here!

A treadmill is now in my home... still in the box, but here nonetheless. :D On Saturday, Costco sold the one I had seen on the floor last week. A valuable lesson was once again reinforced - when you see something you want at Costco - don't delay... BUY IT! Our Costco consistently outsells the stores in the valley despite the smaller population it serves.

Fortunately, I had called and they informed me that they should be getting 4 more in with the next freight. The guy I spoke with commented, "These treadmills are really hot right now. We can't keep them in stock." They arrived late on Tuesday so DH picked one up for me on Wednesday evening.

I'm one happy girl! I consider this my birthday present - even though my birthday isn't until May.

We just need to figure out where to put it now. Our home isn't large. It is very comfortable and I love it! Just right for us. Sometimes I think it would be great to have a playroom / guest room or a media room / play room (either of which could also serve as an exercise room) but I am very happy where I am. I would rather have finances in order to retire early and live comfortably, than to live on a tight budget just to have a larger house. Anyway....

Our home is 2000 sq ft - a great room, 3 bedrooms and an office. There really is no extra space. We've considered the master bedroom but that would prevent me from running while DH is asleep (I'm a night owl - he goes to bed early). That leaves the office or the living room... there isn't a lot of space in either and we're aren't crazy about putting it there anyway. It is certainly not an attractive piece of furniture or artwork. I don't know.

It will likely end up in the bedroom. We have a TV there - which is great - but unfortunately, it will likely be positioned with my back to the TV. Does anyone know if it is doable to maneuver and reposition easily? Can I logically slide/push it a few feet away from the wall so that I can see the TV when I'm running (in the upright/standing position, of course) and then when I'm done, stand it back up and return it against the wall? I'm not sure that makes much sense but in essence, I would like to turn it 90 degrees and move it forward a few feet to use it and then reverse those steps when I'm done.

In other news... I have none. I haven't worked out in 2 weeks. I feel sluggish. I feel lethargic. But there is hope. Today is Swap Day - I should be able to get out and run. Now that I have a treadmill, I should be able to stick to a plan once again. :D

  1. Doable to move, yes, but more likely a job for someone weighing at least 180 lbs and male as it weighs around 300 lbs.
