As Requested

Here are a few of the scrapbook layouts I've done recently. I've been on a roll - partially due to a little challenge I have going with a girlfriend. Who can create the most layouts in one month? She is a traditional scrapbooker and uses paper product - whereas I create my pages digitally. Generally, in this manner, I am much faster so my handicap is 3 basic digi-layouts = 1 traditional paper layout.

If there is one that jumps out at you as particularly interesting or well done, please leave a comment to let me know. I will be selecting one to enter in our county fair next week. :)

  1. I vote Autumn Apples. The color is vibrant and the pic of her with the apple in her mouth is priceless! How can you not win with that one?

Makita, so here I am, again in awe of you -- so instead of running wisdom I must ask your scrapping wisdom. What do you like about digital scrapping?

  3. Thank you. Scrapbooking is my favorite creative outlet. :)

Amaras_Mom - To answer your question, I love digi-scrapbooking for a number of reasons.

    1) It's faster.
    2) There is no mess to clean up.

    3) I save a lot of $$$$. There are many, many kits, papers and embellishments available for free. I print the layouts at Costco (a 12x18 sheet is $3... on which I can fit one 12x12 or two 8x8 layouts and still have some room for random prints, or 6x6 sizes for gifts, etc.).

    4) They are flat so my albums are less bulky.
    5) I can reprint layouts for friends easily.

    6) I have the ability to 'undo' if I error and goof. No worries about screwing up and wasting paper, etc.
    7) I have the freedom to create both 'traditional/paper style' pages or 'graphic/magazine ad style' pages.

Hmmm. I think that about covers it. :)

  7. I currently use Photoshop Elements 4.0. I love it!

I want desperately to upgrade to 5.0 (bundled with Premiere Elements) but since I just upgraded in the spring of '07 from Elements 2.0 - DH says to wait a little longer. Christmas, I hope - when we plan to also upgrade the PC and switch to Mac.

Thank you for your vote. It's a tough call. :)

  9. WHile they all would make a good choice, my favorite is still the instigator layout from the previous post, second favorite would be the two pager titled "G & J". I am so glad that you have been so productive lately. A competition would help me do more also.

  10. Hi, Saw your comment on Organised Doodles and came to have a look at your scrapbook pages. I too love Autumn Apples. Maybe I should get some of my own pages on my own blog? Like the slideshow too.

    Great blog by the way.
