(I think you should ...Always, listen to your body. (I think you should throw yoga in your mix, for both strength and flexibility.) Sounds like you have a good attitude towards training, and swimming is an excellent workout. Hope your hip comes around soon. As for always getting better during marathons, that waxes and wanes. I got better for six straight marathons, then suddenly got shoved backwards by 44 minutes! (Chicago 2007 fun run plus a cold.) Next marathon (Flying Pig) I got back in my range though (sub-4).peterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17284634727671648704noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8817310666614000794.post-91878717634182235662008-07-10T18:24:00.001-07:002008-07-10T18:24:00.001-07:00And I hope the hips doing better. And I hope the hips doing better.akshayehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12056795074199369977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8817310666614000794.post-336337286650001092008-07-10T18:24:00.000-07:002008-07-10T18:24:00.000-07:00Great advice and sound advice! The suggestions for the roller (I use Tiger Tail and a white foam roller) are good, and so are Wes's suggestions for working the area. I have an exercise that we do in Pilates that is killer. Anyway, good luck!Backofpackhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13779487553272296752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8817310666614000794.post-65217751726343531142008-07-10T07:57:00.000-07:002008-07-10T07:57:00.000-07:00You need to work the IT band. I use it before runs and before stretching sessions. It has made such a big difference in my running and has helped me stay relatively injury-free.Felice Devinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18038461010518039172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8817310666614000794.post-35456639780762456822008-07-10T05:30:00.000-07:002008-07-10T05:30:00.000-07:00Amen!
